Loving: High Gloss Bedside Tables

I’ve been hoping to upgrade our bedside table for a while now. I love our current ones – I specially like the white coral drawer pulls, they provide a great visual statement but unfortunately, they are just too small. I’ve been looking for something to complement the rest of the room, something sleek and modern but functional and practical at the same time. 
I recently found two gorgeous bedside tables that offer a high gloss/lacquer finish and plenty of space. The design of both tables is both contemporary and chic while offering valuable storage space. Ideally, I would select the one with two drawers but I can’t keep my eyes away from the clean mid-century inspired design of the second option.
Which bedside table is your favorite?

Master Closet Makeover

Every season Brad and I plan a few big project in addition to several smaller DIY ones. In the past we’ve painted a chevron wall in our living room and build a deck. I think our next “big” project will be redoing our (mine really!) master closet. I’ve been wanting to start this project for a while and have been compiling inspiration of what I want to create. 
I’ve been thinking that fitted furniture might be the best option for our master closet. It offers personalized design to fit the area, maximized space storage and great value.
Fitted bedroom and closet furniture is not only functional but help create a uniform, harmonious look in a room. The wardrobes are fully customizable – colors, size, fitted or free standing – can all be personalized. The possibilities are endless! 
I’m hoping to get this project started before Christmas this year, stay tuned for follow up posts and updates.

I’ve decided to buy this Dwell Studio bench from Target for the foot of the
bed. I was going to buy two x benches and reupholster them, but for about the same price
I can buy this one. I think it would go perfectly with the color palette in our bedroom (gray
& white stripes? Could I ask for more?). After I make this purchase, I think our bedroom
will be complete (except for a rug to go under the bench – but I don’t have anything in
mind right now)

Our bedroom transformation is coming along nicely. Last Sunday we finally started
painting our dresser. This is what it used to look like when we first moved into
our new home.

Yeah… HATED IT! The dresser was part of Brad’s bedroom set – which included a
slay bed & night tables. We recently upgraded to a king size bed so they slay bed is gone.
Instead of buying a new dresser we decided to give it a coat of white glossy paint.

We decided to paint in our bedroom rather than carrying that big piece
of furniture downstairs – we did paint the drawers outside.

The dresser should be ready today – we still have some minor touch ups to do. The only
problem we’ve encountered is hardware. It’s been kind of hard finding matching pulls and
knobs in 3 sizes. The hardware is silver right now, I’m thinking if I can’t find anything,
some spray paint should do the trick. Stay tuned for the after…

I also ordered a new fan for our bedroom – I’m so glad this horrible builders
fan will soon be gone!

Also, last week I ordered new bedding from Nate Berkus for HSN. Everything should
arrive tomorrow!

The only things left to do would be a DIY headboard (hopefully this weekend)
and two x benches (or maybe one long one) for the foot of the bed.

edit – I can’t begin to tell you how much I love my new comforter set & sheets. The comforter
is so warm and cozy & the sheets areSO SOFT! I purchased a rug from his HSN collection
a couple of months ago and I’m beyond happy with my purchases! Highly recommended!

As part as our room makeover (I say makeover but it technically it isn’t,
it’s more of a work in progress since we moved to our new place) Brad
and I wanted to upgrade to a king size bed. Any one who’s bought a new mattess
recently, know how expensive they can be.
