A Healthier 2013

I wouldn’t call this a 2013 resolution but a continuation of a lifestyle chance, let me explain. Last fall, Brad and I finally got serious about eating healthy and exercising regularly. I lost 13lbs (I currently weigh 20lbs less than what I did when I got pregnant back in 2010), Brad lost almost 30lbs but I’m not bitter, not bitter at all. The month of December proved to be tricky for both of us. I was in New York for almost a week, came back to celebrate my birthday then the holiday parties started then Christmas, New Year’s celebrations and well, a few pounds came back. Nothing major but enough to get us back on track pretty quickly. We decided not to wait any longer to get back to our healthy routine. I started a 3 day cleanse yesterday and once I’m done, Brad and I will continue our healthy eating by cooking recipes from SkinnyTaste & The Eat Clean Diet. Both offer healthy alternatives to lots of our favorite dishes, we’ve learned that there’s no need to sacrifice taste in order to eat healthy!
We also started walking/running again and I realized that I probably needed a workout wardrobe update. Below are a few items I’ve added to my current wish list.
As part of my workout routine, I’m also starting Ripped in 30 by Jillian Michaels again and then following it with No More Trouble Zones when I’m done. I’m looking forward to continuing our healthy habits during 2013!
Our goal is to continue with our routine through out the year and for it to become our way of life rather than just a phase. Have you started or continued with a healthy workout and eating routine? I would love to know what works for you!
Here’s to a happy, healthy 2013!
